As a step to preventing waste from their products, IKEA wanted a way to give their furniture longer life. So we put a spin on the most wasteful day of the year. Instead of promoting sales on Black Friday, IKEA offered to buy back their customers’ furniture at a good price, and then resell to someone who needs it.
After going live in (almost) every IKEA market around the world, many have decided to keep Buy Back as a permanent service all year round.
