IKEA Festival – Home tour around the world
2020 closed the door on homes everywhere. The place that should be a sanctuary became our entire world and it wasn’t long before we started getting sick of it. So in 2021, it was time to throw those doors open and get inspired about home again.
On September 16, IKEA launched the biggest home festival in history. A global 24-hour event, turning real homes into virtual stages for the best of home. Concerts, cook-offs, live DJ-sets, home visits, gaming – opening the door to everyone from artists Arlo Parks and Masego to chef Flynn McGarry and Janet from logistics at IKEA Peru.
Beyond inspiring people to fall in love with home again, it gave IKEA a new platform to showcase products after discontinuing their legendary catalogue.
